A Little Time Together Matters
August Reminder

August Reminder:Fifteen Minutes Together
August can be a beautiful time to slow down and spend a little extra time with the older adults we love.If your parent, grandparent, or loved one lives nearby, consider making a small visit part of your week. It doesn’t have to be a big outing or a whole afternoon.
Fifteen minutes can be enough to make a meaningful connection.
Sit outside together. Take a slow walk around the garden. Have a cup of tea on the patio. Look at the flowers. Talk about the weather. Listen to a favourite song. Or simply sit together and enjoy the fresh air.The activity itself doesn’t have to be complicated. What matters is being present.
For someone who spends much of the day alone, a short visit can become something to look forward to.
This August, try:
🌿 A 15-minute walk together
☕ Tea or coffee outside
🌸 Looking at flowers or the garden
🎵 Listening to a favourite song
📖 Sharing an old story or memory
😊 Simply sitting together and talking
You don’t need to have the perfect words or plan the perfect activity.
Sometimes, showing up is the activity.
So if you’ve been meaning to visit Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, or someone you care about, perhaps this is your little August reminder:Go visit. Sit awhile. Listen. Laugh. Be together.Fifteen minutes today can become a memory tomorrow.
